Trees transplanted with the proper size tree spade experience less TS or transplant shock than traditional b&b (balled and burlaped) or container grown trees. Less TS means the tree will overcome the physical stress of relocation sooner and continue growing; providing instant beauty to your landscape. B&B trees often exhibit a sickly appearance and require 2 to 3 years of intensive care before they start adding caliper and height. That is, if they survive at all.	With a tree spade we move upto 85% of a tree's root system intact and undisturbed. With b&b trees you are lucky to have 20-25%.

30" spade for trees 2.5" caliper and below. 44" spade for 2.5" - 4" caliper. 90" spade for all trees above 4" caliper.
